St. Luke participates in many community events in Woodburn, and the St. Luke family extends beyond the school. Students and staff participate in city events such as the Fourth of July celebration at Centennial Park, the Woodburn Proud Community Clean-Up, and the Fire Department Open House. St. Luke School is also a member of the Woodburn Chamber of Commerce.
Moreover, students and staff participate in meaningful service opportunities that extend our understanding of community. Each class adopts a service project for the year and focuses on this project at minimum each month. This year, students create crafts for and visit Country Meadows Assisted Living, help the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank, and run a school recycling program.
In the spring St. Luke parents host a cherished annual auction, drawing attendees from all surrounding cities. Students extend appreciation for school support to our local businesses and service organizations. Connecting with our neighbors is one way the school aims to put faith into action and extend the St. Luke family.
