The House system at St. Luke is a unique and celebratory feature of the school. There are four House groups, K-8, and one preschool House group. When students begin at St. Luke K-8, they are assigned to one of four Houses, and this becomes their group for the duration of their St. Luke years. House groups are comprised of approximately 35 students, a mix of Kindergarteners through 8th graders.
House groups meet once a month to enjoy activities, crafts, and games focused an a common theme. Four times a year, Houses celebrate feast days of our House patron saints, and participate in celebrations of the saint's work and heritage.
House time is cherished by students for the schoolwide connection it builds. Within each group, younger students are buddied with older students, and older students take seriously the responsibility of being role models. The House system makes for a strong school culture of community.
