In 2023-2024 St. Luke will adopt a schoolwide virtues program that focuses on core values.
Conduct expectations are woven into classroom routines, keeping students on-task. Teachers spend very little time addressing disruptive behaviors and are able to focus on the joyful work on learning within classrooms.
Schoolwide projects addressing local as well as international needs are designed each year to honor the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent.
Older students serve as mentors and buddies for younger students, and are held to standards of exemplary role models.
Middle school students complete 10-hours of service, as well as a service reflection, each trimester.
MIDDLE SCHOOL students complete 150 combined SERVICE HOURS EACH YEAR
students lead many facets of prayer, including morning prayer each day.
Spiritual Formation
Each day begins with Morning Prayer, during which the entire school gathers to devote the day to God, celebrate each other’s success, and hear important announcements about student life.
Kindergarten through 8th grade attend Mass on Fridays. Classes lead Mass by serving at lectors, gift bearers, altar servers, and members of the choir.
2nd grade students prepare for and receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
Middle school students participate in annual retreats, often led by Catholic high school students.
Whole-school experiences of Blessing of the Animals, rosaries, and Stations of the Cross take place each year.
